History of This Car

This AMG GT was delivered to the selling dealer Smothers European, Santa Rosa, CA in March 2018. The car was finished in Iridium Silver Metallic and trimmed with Vesuvius Black leather w/silver piping. After the first owner purchased this GT, the car remained in California under two private owners with dealership services as consecutively accumulated miles were recorded through March 2020. At that time, with 34,000 miles, the rear bumper was damaged and repaired (the airbag did not deploy). In November 2021, general maintenance was performed at Mercedes-Benz of Stockton, CA including an oil service, alignment, and tires checked. In March 2025, with 49,884 miles indicated, a 50k mile service was performed at Mercedes-Benz Fairfield, CA including a new battery, evaporator case drain hose service, spark plugs replaced, and new wipers installed. In March 2025, with 50,158 miles, the car was purchased by the current owner. In preparation for consignment a matching front Michelin Pilot Super Sport tire was installed.
General Condition

Today this amazing Mercedes-Benz AMG GT roadster presents in elegant silver, delivering a refined factory finish to the dramatic and sporty body lines. The finish has been digitally metered, returning single digit numbers consistent with factory applied paint. The paint is very well-maintained showing excellent finishes, with minor imperfections reflective of the accumulated 53,000 original miles. The front air dam has scuff marks and scratches on the lower surfaces, including some underside air dam scuffs. All glass, clear front and rear lenses, and exterior body trim are in excellent cosmetic condition including the sporty AMG exhaust tips exiting the aerodynamically contoured rear body section. All openings function as new, with excellent closure, proper gapping, and crisp fit to front and rear bumper caps. There are no chips or notable scratches on the windshield, rear, or side glass. The optional 19” front and 20” rear AMG 10 spoke titanium wheels and Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires are in excellent condition as well, though showing minor curb rash on two wheels. The massive, ventilated disc brakes and multi-piston calipers are mounted at all four corners. The retractable convertible power top raises and lowers smoothly within seconds, resting under the hard-shell rear cover to give the car its distinct roadster appearance.

Inside the car, the supple factory fresh black leather and silver accents interior exhibits excellent finishes, stitching, and smooth contours throughout including the driver’s side seat bolster which shows only mild evidence of use. All interior components have been beautifully maintained including the carpet, headliner, and electronic features. The beautifully sculpted dashboard features digital central instrumentation, a centrally mounted color touch screen, carbon fiber accents, brushed silver finishes, and multi-feature control knobs flanking the center console 7-speed selector. The driver and passenger ventilated and heated adjustable seats offer multiple power settings and memory with fantastic bolstering that is both supportive for sport driving and comfortable for long range cruising. The premium Burmester Surround Sound audio system offers excellent sound range with powerful output even when cruising at highway speeds with the convertible top down. Every aspect of the interior is beautifully finished and properly detailed by two caring owners including the trunk which is finished with factory materials that appear as new, offering ample space for weekend travel bags.

Under the hood, the powerful hand-crafted bi-turbo V8 offers incredible AMG performance, particularly so linked to the 7-speed transmission and steering wheel mounted paddle shifters. Every factory component, trim piece, and manufacturer’s engine compartment sticker remains in place and in excellent cosmetic condition. The undercarriage further supports the accumulated miles showing no visible signs of structural compromise to the chassis or suspension mounting points. The factory aerodynamic chassis components and protective covers are in place. Suspension and various exposed components revealed in the underside are also in excellent condition, displaying a clean and fresh appearance.

Driving this AMG GT Roadster reveals a wonderful balance of incredibly manageable power and comfort seldom found in cars with such performance capabilities. The elegant silver finish matches the racing legacy of the original 300 SL with a fantastic modern interpretation fusing elegance and world-class performance in a remarkably usable car. Though highly capable of beating even top-level exotics, this AMG GT roadster remains obedient while braving insufferable traffic, relieving the fortunate owner with refreshing AC, easy to use controls, a splendid sound system, and just enough room to bring overnight bags to escape to your next getaway.
