General Overview

There is no singularly more successful brand of American sports car than the Corvette. For seventy years the Corvette name has brought performance from the racetrack to street tuned machines introducing new generations to the power and handling in both stock and modified versions. Reeves Callaway, one of the most prolific and capable tuners in the performance world, could have rested on his father’s fortune making some of the finest golf clubs in the world. This one-owner, low mile Callaway Corvette has been maintained since new, always garage kept, and meticulously detailed. Taken into dealer inventory in Oregon, this Z51 3LT was sold January 2, 2014, and titled in the state of Oregon, where it has remained under singular ownership since new. More than $17,000 in factory options were installed when this car was assembled and delivered to the selling dealership.

Service invoices accompanying the car include warranty work performed at Airport Chevrolet, Medford, OR including oil changes, vehicle inspections, and recall campaign service. In September 2017, the radio display was replaced with a new unit, the right front shock replaced (due to leaking), and the master cylinder reservoir replaced.

In November 2021, the car was serviced at Airport Chevrolet. At this time MAP sensor wiring and conduit was repaired and replaced as needed, and the supercharger gaskets were replaced using Callaway gaskets.

Condition Overview

Today this highly optioned Callaway Corvette presents in excellent condition with factory original black paint that is glossy and smooth throughout with no notable flaws in the finish. The body is in excellent condition with factory fit to the pristine body panels; doors, trunk, and hood which also exhibit excellent panel gaps and tight factory fit for the front and rear bumper caps. Excellent clear lenses, beautiful details, and original factory glass and Heads Up factory windshield complete the exterior. The unique Callaway emblems are applied at the rear and lower rear quarter panels. The unique optional chrome plated 19” alloy wheels are in excellent condition with brilliant sheen backed by optional yellow brake calipers. The car is outfitted with a matching set of Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires.

The interior shows virtually no signs of wear and excellent supple leather finishes on the seats, dash, and beautifully preserved door panels. The black leather surfaces are like new including all working features, illuminated dashboard, heads up color display, and the recently replaced radio screen. The optional Bose Surround Sound system featuring ten speakers is further supported by vividly illuminated instrumentation and the impressive 7-speed manual short-shifter updated by Callaway. Callaway interior and door threshold badging are unique features which add to this beautifully optioned car. The carbon fiber roof, sun visors, switches, and controls are all beautifully detailed and function as new. The overall fit and finish of the interior is fresh and tidy, exhibiting all the traits of a low mile, regularly serviced premium sports car. The rear storage compartment remains stock from the factory, displaying correct materials and finishes. The rear cargo area is easily outfitted with any of the optional storage nets included with the car.

Under the hood, the impressive Callaway SC 627 gets its name from the dyno tested 627 horsepower achieved when tested at Callaway. Carbon fiber engine shrouding and additional Callaway engine trim complete the impressive engine. The jaw-dropping performance offered in this package is even more astonishing considering it is delivered in a car with factory air conditioning, power steering, premium sound, and convenience amenities. A signed Callaway plaque is riveted to the engine bay bearing the VIN and verifying the engineering performed by Callaway. The underside of the car is impressive showing no signs of structural compromise and cleanliness consistent with the low miles and indoor storage since new.

The car starts, stops, and drives like new. Performance is exceptional with robust acceleration, phenomenal braking, and excellent shifting particularly when engaged in the “Active Rev Matching” driving mode, which adjusts engine revs to match shifting for when engaged in spirited driving. Other features include the impressive magnetic suspension, sport exhaust, and of course, the 627 hp Callaway engine.
