Description

2005 Aston Martin DB9
VIN SCFAD01A95GA00937
California Sage with Sandstorm and Absynthe Green Leather

Unveiled as a 2004 model, the DB9 represented a significant change in direction for Aston Martin. Following the David Brown years, Aston had encountered many financial troubles that often prevented them from devoting the resources to develop innovative new models from the ground up. The DB9 is represented a completely new generation of Aston Martins and is their first truly modern car. With an impressive aluminum chassis, the DB9 is stronger and 25% lighter than its predecessor. The car is clothed in stunning aluminum and composite bodywork styled by Ian Callum and Henrik Fisker, and is built in an all new state of the art facility at Gaydon. The powerplant is a 5.9 liter V12, and produces 450hp. The suspension is equally impressive, with forged aluminum double wishbones and even aluminum damper housings. The gearbox is mounted at the rear via a torque tube with carbon fiber driveshaft. With innovative technology, superb dynamics, outstanding build quality, and striking aesthetics, the cars are now truly world-class and the marque is enjoying a well-deserved renaissance.

This particular example is a one-owner, California car from new with just 8,900 miles. As would be expected of an enthusiast-owned special interest automobile with such low mileage, this example is cosmetically near perfect, without a single major flaw inside or out. The paint, glass, wheels, upholstery, and switchgear are all in exceptional condition.

The car has also been well cared for mechanically. On file are records from its 1,000 mile scheduled service to the present day. Regardless of mileage, the car received a complete service every 12 months, often at astronomical cost. Beyond the work covered under warranty, which included the replacement of the dash and rear parcel shelf upholstery, this DB9 has seen over $15,000 in expenditures on regular services in July of 2005, May of 2007, June of 2008, April of 2009, May of 2010, and finally September of 2011 at 8,600 miles. All work was performed at Cole European in Walnut Creek, California.

This is a great opportunity to acquire a meticulously-maintained, one-owner California DB9 in irreproachable condition, and in exceptional Aston Martin Heritage colors. Complete with books, trickle charger, both keys, both remotes, and a thick file of records, this virtually as-new car is ready to use and enjoy.
