1976 Ferrari 308 GTB s/n 20623 Rosso Corsa with Black Interior This one-owner car was sold new by Griswold Company in the San Francisco Area of California. It is an exceptionally original example and is accompanied by detailed and orderly service records from brand new, the full manual set, jack and bag, and spare wheel. The car has 78,538 miles, and has been meticulously maintained throughout its life. The last major (belt) service was done in 1997 at 73,500 miles by Larry Buskirk at Design Technologies. Mr. Buskirk performed a minor service and inspection in June of 2006, just 100 miles ago. The clutch was replaced 16,000 miles ago. Only the frontal area of the car has been repainted to eliminate the usual stone chips. The rest of the paint is holding up very well with only the most minor wear marks and fading, and no chips or dents of any significance. There is no fading to the bumpers or black trim. The car sits on 14 inch Campangnolo wheels with near new Michelin tires. The interior is 100% original and very well cared for. The seats are soft and supple, and show fading appropriate for a car of this vintage in original condition. The carpets also show some normal use. The dash, door, console, and headliner upholstery is excellent. A later Momo steering wheel has been fitted, though the factory wheel comes with the car. Both the engine bay and trunk are in beautiful original condition. The frontal area is also in very nice shape, but the plastic surround for the spare tire has been discarded. Ferraris in the 308 series often trade hands every few years, a function of the owner`s passing interest. It is extremely unusual to find a one-owner example that has been so well taken care of. The detailed service notes proving this are invaluable to prospective buyers.
