1967 Alfa Romeo 2600 Sprint Zagato
S/N: AR 856047
Red/Grey leather with Black piping

Thanks to its expressive styling, reduced weight, and rarity, the 2600 Sprint Zagato is the most desirable of all the 2600 variants. With a 300 lb. lighter curb weight and shorter wheelbase, it is more enjoyable to use than the 2600 Sprints by Bertone. One of just 105 built, this is a very rare example that has been recently restored. Fantasy Junction sold this car to its current owner. In April 2006, over $7,000 USD was spent on brake, carburetor, and exhaust work.

Cosmetically, the car presents well. The paint is free from blemishes, overspray, orange peel, and is in general very nice. The gaps are uniform as well. The chrome is generally good, but the steel part of the wheels does show minor surface rust. The tires are correct (and difficult to find) Michelin X's in great shape. The car is also fitted with chromed Vitaloni mirrors in very nice shape, and all the glass on the car is good, including the windshield. The rubber gasketing all fits well and is in excellent shape throughout, with the exception of some cracking at the base of the front windscreen. The headlights are Cibie units, and like the rest of the lights and lenses, free from cracking and opacity.

The underside is solid but not detailed, though there is fresh undercoating present. The exhaust system is an Ansa with twin chromed tips and is in good condition.
The interior is in excellent condition. The carpet, including that in the trunk, is new and of very high-quality and fits extremely well. The leather is also very nice. In addition to the seats, which look smart with their contrasting piping, the dashboard and center console have been reupholstered and are very nicely detailed. The headliner is excellent with no sags, discoloration or other anomalies. The wood is in great shape too, and the only notable flaws to the interior are some light wear to the brightwork, discoloration of the gauge markings, and cracking to the horn button.

The engine compartment is presentable and tidy, and appears to be largely correct. The engine compartment is not perfect, but would clean up very nicely with an afternoon's work. The engine is healthy and the compression readings are excellent, with all cylinders between 145 and 155 lbs.

With the car come receipts for the recent work done, and the front and rear bumpers in restored condition with all necessary attachment hardware.
