Truly one of the most magnificent road cars ever built, the 540K reflects its time perfectly. While its presence is easy to see what can only be appreciated by driving is the completeness and effectiveness of its restoration. Surprisingly easy to drive in modern traffic with a torque filled and instantly responsive supercharged engine and effective reliable braking this 540K will take you anywhere you wish to go with style and satisfaction. The restoration itself was an extremely comprehensive five-year rebuild (completed in 2001) to the highest standards and was carried out in Germany. The resulting car is truly breathtaking to behold.

Originally bodied as a Cabriolet B, this car is now fitted with a Spezial Roadster body with enclosed spare tire (8 of these bodies were originally built) and the body is extremely correct. Included with the car is documentation, including a photostat of the original commission sheet and written documentation from the restoration.
